Compare the Pink Shinobu Hair resin statue and the Tomioka Giyu full payment statue on scale, edition size, and release timing to decide which Demon Slayer pre-order fits your shelf.
Quick answer
Choose the Pink Shinobu Hair resin statue if you want a larger, limited-edition centerpiece and can wait until Q3 2026. Choose the Tomioka Giyu full payment statue if you prefer a smaller, lower-cost figure with a compact display footprint and want to secure it now with a single payment.
Scale and shelf space: 9 cm vs. resin display
The Tomioka Giyu figure is listed at 9 cm total height, with an estimated Mugen Train passenger seat base measuring 7.5 × 4.5 × 3 cm. That makes it a small, space-efficient piece that can sit on a narrow shelf or desk without dominating the display.
The Pink Shinobu Hair statue is made of resin and is described as a limited edition, but the catalog does not provide a height or base measurement. Without those dimensions, you cannot predict its exact footprint from the listing alone. If shelf space is tight, ask the store for measurements before committing.
Edition size and availability risk
The Pink Shinobu Hair statue is limited to 88 pieces for the pink normal hair version and 138 pieces total across both hair versions. That low production run means it may sell out before release and could be harder to find later.
The Tomioka Giyu statue does not state an edition size in the catalog. A smaller, open-order figure is generally easier to reorder or find on the secondary market, but you should not assume unlimited stock. If you want either piece, treat the pre-order as time-sensitive.
Release timing and payment structure
The Tomioka Giyu statue has an estimated shipping date of Q1 (March) 2022, which is already in the past. That suggests it may be a remaining or back-order item rather than a future pre-order. Confirm with the store whether stock is on hand or still incoming before you pay.
The Pink Shinobu Hair statue has an estimated shipping date of Q3 (September) 2026, so you are committing to a future release. Both listings are full payment, meaning you pay the catalog price now rather than a deposit. Shipping is calculated separately when the item is ready to ship, so budget for that additional cost.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Display space vs. statement piece: The Giyu figure is 9 cm tall with a small base, while the Shinobu statue is a resin piece with no listed dimensions. If you need a guaranteed fit, measure your shelf and request Shinobu's dimensions before ordering. Ask for measurements if your display area is limited.
- Low edition vs. open availability: Shinobu is capped at 88 pink-hair pieces (138 total), so it may sell out. Giyu has no stated edition size, which usually means more units, but availability is not guaranteed. Treat the Shinobu pre-order as more urgent if you want that specific version.
- Past release vs. future commitment: Giyu's estimated shipping date is Q1 2022, so confirm whether it is in stock now. Shinobu is estimated for Q3 2026, so you will wait months and pay shipping later. Clarify Giyu's stock status before paying; budget for shipping on both.
